Gala Dinner at Yiapanis Sculpture Park
In the small village of Fasoula, eight kilometres north of Limassol, lies one of the most unique and idyllic art galleries in Cyprus. Built into the rocky hillside of a small mountain is sculptor Philippos Yiapanis’ Art Studio. But this is no ordinary gallery.
As you enter the garden through the large white gates, there are marble sculptures on either side of the drive. When it gets dark, floodlights beam up at the sculptures, which in turn shed light on the rest of the garden. Dotted around the beautiful landscape are Yiapanis’ sculptures, all positioned with precision and meaning. The sculptor has a story to tell for each and every creation. Adding to the serenity of the surroundings is a lake in the middle of the garden, complete with a fountain, fish and a frog called Louis.
But just when you start thinking it couldn’t get any better, you move past the pond and come across a small amphitheatre built within the garden; the sculptor has called it “Small Salamis”. It is named after the historical Amphitheatre of Salamis in occupied Famagusta, Yiapanis’ town of origin and source of inspiration.
Gala Dinner at the Sanctuary of Aphrodite
The famous Sanctuary of Aphrodite is located in Kouklia village; one of the most celebrated pilgrimage centres of the ancient Greek world, and once a city-kingdom of Cyprus.
Here stood the famous sanctuary of Aphrodite, the most ancient remains of which date back to the 12th century BC. The glorious days of the sanctuary lasted till the 3rd – 4th century. The museum, housed in the Lusignan Manor contains many interesting finds from the area making the Sanctuary the perfect cultural venue to host gala dinners.
Guests can enjoy refreshing cocktails or local wine accompanied with a selection of canapés, while overlooking the magnificent sunset. Professional waiters cater the event serving gastronomic gourmet food and local beverages.
Gala Dinner at Famagusta Gate Trench
The adjacent trench near Famagusta Gate situated in the centre of Nicosia is the ideal outdoor space for cultural events and incredible gala dinners.
The picturesque Venetian Walls are a series of defensive walls which surround the capital city of Nicosia. Firstly built in the Middle Ages and then rebuilt in the mid-16th century by the Republic of Venice, the trench enhances a cultural, unique ambiance ideal for dining. The spacious, open-air, green field right next to the trench is ideal for privately organised gala dinners.
Guests can taste gourmet local flavours and enjoy refreshing cocktails while they listen to relaxing live jazz music. In this beautifully environment attendees have the opportunity to dance on stage or even enjoy live dancing and musical performances.
Beach Party
As a coastal town, Limassol isl for any kind of event by the beach. Along the turquoise and crystal-clear waters of Lady’s Mile one finds Aplostra restaurant & beach-bar.
Away from the hustle and bustle of the city, either during the day or at night, guests can relax and enjoy their time at the beach of Aplostra while sipping on refreshing cocktails and appreciating excellent creative Mediterranean cuisine made by professional chefs.
The venue has an exciting and cosy ambiance filled with wooden effects, hidden lighting and an extremely unique décor which embraces the nautical feeling of the island.
Whether guests long to experience the tranquillity of a relaxed bonfire night or dance the night away while listening to our beloved DJ’s great hits, a beach party at Aplostra remains remarkable.
Gala Dinner at the Cyprus Wine Museum
Located on the edge of the wine-producing countryside, near the chalcolithic settlement of Erimi in Limassol, guests come across the Cyprus Wine Museum.
The beautifully renovated stone building travels our guests through the Ancient, Byzantium and Medieval periods of wine making. The venue consists of two beautiful courtyards and one indoor hall which make the museum an imposing venue for an exquisite gala dinner and cocktail reception.
The ground floor of the building houses the museum which gives an innovative and creative insight into the history of winemaking in Cyprus. On the lower ground floor one can find the wine-tasting room – Ilarion Hall, comprised of wines from 32 wineries of Cyprus.
What could make the night even more memorable? The “Commandaria Orchestra”: The Orchestre La Grande Commanderie de Chypre which was established in 2009 by The Cyprus Wine Museum is part of the museums’ cultural project, “Kinyras”.
