CASE STUDY: Reimagining the Classics

The HP Channel Champions Club | Limassol, Cyprus
I. The Brief
dnata Dubai and HP tasked us with hosting 130 of their most prestigious “Channel Champions.” The objective was to create a 4-day experience that balanced high-level strategic meetings with an immersive cultural journey. The event required flawless logistics, high-end technical production, and a creative concept that would stand out from previous global iterations.
II. The Concept: “A Journey Through the Ages”
Cyprus, with its 10,000 years of history, provided the perfect canvas. We designed a program that transitioned through time, from the grandeur of Ancient Greece to the mystery of the Middle Ages, ending with the vibrant, authentic Folklore of modern-day Cyprus.
III. The Execution
Day 1: The Modern Welcome
• Theme: Contemporary Music Night.
• The Experience: Guests arrived at the Parklane 5 Resort & Spa* and were greeted by hostesses in stylized Ancient Greek costumes. The evening kicked off with a sleek, modern welcome dinner featuring a three-piece band and a saxophone player, setting a high-energy tone for the days ahead.
Day 2: The Golden Age (Conference & Gala)
• The Plenary: We transformed the Diamond Ballroom into a high-tech “Oracle.” Using 3D design mapping, we integrated custom-built Greek columns and statues (ranging from 1.2m to 3m) around a massive 9m x 2.9m LED video wall.
• The Medieval Gala: After the day’s sessions, guests were transported to The Carob Mill at the heart of Limassol’s Medieval Castle district.
• Highlights: Stilt-walking jesters, knights in combat, a sand painting artist, and a dramatic “Knight Fight” performance brought the medieval history of the Knights Templar to life.
Day 3: Exploration & Authenticity
• Daytime: Guests chose their own adventure: a high-octane Akamas Buggy Expedition, a historical tour of Nicosia, or a rugged Jeep Safari into the Troodos mountains.
• The Farewell: We concluded with a “Cyprus Night” at Ceti Local. To ensure total immersion, we used traditional blue-checkered tablecloths, aromatic herbs, and live Bouzouki music. The night peaked with a high-energy folklore dance show and the traditional Cypriot “plate breaking” ceremony.
IV. The Technical & Logistical Edge
• Branding: We managed a comprehensive branding suite, from 32-page custom event guides and branded lanyards to custom-designed stage sets.
• Customs & Logistics: Our team handled the complex importation of event materials (160+ shirts and 150 bags) from Dubai, ensuring all items cleared customs in time for the guests’ arrival.
• Quality Control: We utilized a multi-videographer team to capture every moment, delivering a “Same Day Video” to maintain momentum and a high-quality post-event recap.
V. The Results
The event was a resounding success, cited by dnata for our “Can-Do” attitude and expert local knowledge.
